Main Brush stuck (Error 2) after a few minutes

Main Brush stuck (Error 2) after a few minutes even after making sure it's clean, are there any spots or different brushes I need to check? Maybe some hidden parts I have to take out which make the sensors give an error? let me know, thanks

Hi, I had the same problem: Main Brush stuck (Error 2)

Initially I obviously cleaned all the components, the side brushes and the main brush, but it kept giving me the same error. So I called customer service, and they told me to try a reset, but that didn't work, so they told me I had to take it to repair.

I didn't take it to repair because in the meantime I thought maybe some hair got stuck inside the main brush, right in the inner pads, so in places not visible from the outside.

I didn't want to risk opening the main brush and breaking it, so I bought a replacement brush on Amazon for about €12 (not original because you can't find them except in the complete kit that costs €60) and now it works properly.

I just fixed the problem on my Roomba i7. See if the brushes roll freely when you turn the unit upside down (they should). If they don't, then you may have the problem that I had. In my case, brushes were appeared to be fine until I closed the side piece that holds the brushes in place. Removing the end caps (bearings), I found that the axle on one of the rollers was pushed too far into the round metal piece which then did not allow the end cap to rotate. Once I pulled the axle out and repositioned it, everything worked fine.

This is also why getting replacement brushes will also fix the problem.
