Why keyboard backlight locked after battery removed？

Hello, I removed the battery from my MSI laptop due to battery bulging. As a result, the keyboard backlight changed from the white color I set to the default red color. Additionally, I can't adjust it using the SteelSeries Engine; it displays "GS63 not connected". I'm wondering if this issue is related to the battery removal.
