Here is the screenshot. I am not sure if I have done it correctly.
Hi @ashi27108
Yes that's normal, only Ethernet works in safe mode, not WiFi. Sorry should have mentioned this.
It may be a start up program that's causing the problem or a driver problem. it's hard to know at this stage.
In safe mode only generic Windows' drivers are loaded and not hardware specific drivers but unless you have a "special" mouse with lots of features, I don't think that you would need hardware specific drivers for it.
What you could try is to disable any 3rd party Startup programs one at a time and check what happens with the mouse.
To do this right click on the Taskbar click on Task Manager and then click on the Startup tab.
With a lot of the 3rd party programs they are designed to be preloaded so that after installation they will open faster IF and when you need to use them. A lot of them are necessary for correct operation but most aren't and also use up hardware resources unnecessarily if you hardly ever use them. If you're not sure what they do, Google the name and find out.
It doesn't hurt to disable them in Startup as they will still work but may take a little longer to open when you click on the desktop icon or in the program menu, that's all.
To disable a program in Startup, right click on the program and click disable and then restart the PC for the change to come into effect.
Only disable one at a time and check. If you disable too many at once you won't know which one is the cause or if disabling a program here, does cause a different problem again you won't know which one. If a disabled program doesn't stop the problem or it causes another problem simply enable it the same way as you disabled it.
If you have tried them all and it is still happening then it could be a driver problem, are all the drivers up to date i.e. latest applicable version?
Also is there enough ram installed? Sometimes insufficient ram can cause a freezing effect due to the CPU trying to process a lot of information with insufficient ram.
As i said, it may take a while but hopefully doing this will find out what happening.

Thank you for your advice; I will try that and let you know.
Also run the following in a Command Window (admin) to make sure that all the system files are OK.
type cmd in the search bar on the desktop and then click on the "run as administrator" option under the Command Prompt app that appears
Then type the following in the Command window sfc /scannow and press Enter. Yes there is a space between the sfc and the / symbol
This is old time computing as the mouse does not work in the window, only the keyboard, so if you make a typing mistake you need to use the backspace key ← to step back to the mistake and start typing again.
You can close the window using the mouse.
@jayeff Thank you. I'll follow the step.
@jayeff I have followed the step and run the scan. I had a message: "found corrupt files and successfully repaired them."
I'll check today if the mouse is OK; otherwise, I will keep disabling the Startup programs and see If the issue is resolved.
Thank you for your advice.
Hey @jayeff, I have followed all the steps that you have suggested. I have disabled almost all the programs in a startup.
Yesterday was like everything was sorted, but after approx 4 hours, the issue with the mouse started again. Do you have any more suggestions for me, please?

Try starting Windows in safe mode with networking (search online for how to do this for your Windows OS) and check if the mouse is OK or not.

Thank you for your advice. I have tried safe mode with networking. So far no issue with the mouse. However, I can't connect to the wifi, is it normal?

This may be caused by dust getting in there, or maybe even the table vibrating from the computer, but I assume this is the mouse problem, try another one and if it's the same problem then it may be the carpet.
