controller is not working

one day just woke up and my controller stop working . the previous day it was working well. but now when i push the power button of my controller the light comes on but asoon i left it is death again , even if i hold the power button in the light comes on but asoon as i release it it turns of again . it dont even vibrate anymore please help.
