Analog stick pops out?

I was playing a fast paced game when my right controller slammed into the left ones analog stick, popping it out of the socket it was in. This has happened before on the right stick, but the ribbon snapped on that one and let me lift the plate. Not the left one though and it seems too wide to go back in. Any suggestions?
