The freezer door handle on my French door fridge pulls out/comes off

The screws installed in the freezer door panel have stripped/come out of the metal and the handle comes off (the SET screws are fine). The only fix I can think of is to 1) move the handle over a little and drill new holes in the panel or 2) use liquid metal to set and hold the screws in the old stripped holes. Any suggestions?
