I can’t get past the setup screen on my ps4

I recently had to reset my play station 4, and I’ve been stuck on the connect your controller screen. It says I need the USB charger that it came with to charge it, and I have the one it came with, but the one it came with stopped working ages ago, so I started using a different cord. Is there a way to connect my controller to my console to set it up without the original charger cord?
