Hi @bayyonetta

Did you have the battery disconnected every time that you replaced the display? Hopefully you did and not that if you didn't, that connecting/disconnecting the video cable may have electrically damaged something on the motherboard. There's always power somewhere on the motherboard even when the laptop is turned off. The power button is not a power isolating button. Think of the laptop as being in an extremely low power state and not totally disconnected from any power

Try a full power refresh in case it is a corrupted BIOS and check if that resolves the problem.

Here’s the procedure:

a). Disconnect the charger from the laptop if connected.

b). Disconnect the main battery from the motherboard.

c). Disconnect the RTC (Real Time Clock) battery from the motherboard.

Here’s the hardware maintenance manual taken from this support webpage for the laptop. Go to p.29 and p.36 to view the procedure to disconnect the battery and the RTC battery, respectively.

When the RTC battery is removed measure its voltage. If it is <2.6V DC replace it. The part number is 5B10S34095. If you search online using the part number only, you will find suppliers of the part.

d). Press and hold the laptop Power button for a full 30 seconds and then release it

e.) Reconnect the RTC battery (or its replacement).

f). Reverse the above steps to re-assemble the laptop.

g.) When the laptop is completely re-assembled, connect the charger and try to turn on the laptop.

If it starts OK there may be a message about the date and time being incorrect. This is normal as the BIOS has been completely reset back to its default settings. Once the date and time have been adjusted the message won’t appear the next time that the laptop is started.

If you had previously changed any user defined settings in BIOS to suit whatever specific hardware configuration that you had for the laptop, then these will have to be set again.

Hello Bayyo Netta

If your laptop is not turning on, but the fan is spinning and there are no LED indicators lit up, it may indicate a problem with the motherboard, the RAM, or the power supply.

Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:

  1. Check the power supply: Ensure that the laptop is properly connected to the power supply and that the power supply is working correctly. Try a different power outlet and check the power cable for any damage. If the power supply is faulty, it may need to be replaced.
  2. Remove the battery: If your laptop has a removable battery, try removing it and then reconnecting the power supply. Sometimes a faulty battery can prevent the laptop from turning on.
  3. Check the RAM: Try removing the RAM sticks from your laptop and then reinstalling them. Make sure they are properly seated in their slots. If one of the RAM sticks is faulty, the laptop may not turn on.
  4. Check the motherboard: Inspect the motherboard for any signs of damage or loose connections. Make sure that all components are securely attached to the motherboard. If the motherboard is faulty, it may need to be replaced.

If none of these steps resolve the issue, it is recommended that you take your laptop to a professional technician who can diagnose and repair the problem.

i've tried most of it, time to go to repair shop i guess

the ram is integrated, its a slim laptop

i've tried with no battery, just use charger, but still no result, no power indicator sign, just a bit movement of the fan, but not spinning

hope it will not cost me much

So as this laptop has Onboard RAM which is integrated directly into a computer's motherboard and cannot be easily removed or upgraded. It affects system performance, with more RAM allowing for better multitasking and responsiveness.

basically, you will have 4 to 6 memory chips in which one or all might replace So better go to a good service store

You have a difficult problem. None of the easiest solutions seem to have worked for you. So all the following ideas are long shots.

If your laptop were mine, I would probably end up carefully opening and examining it for static or heat damage. Taking static electricity precautions, you could try starting the laptop with the SSD disconnected. The SSD might be bad or require complete reformatting.

If you have temporary access to a replacement battery, that might be worth a try.

Another thing you could try (you seem comfortable swapping displays) would be to use the external HDMI port to see if any video at all (or indication a display is connected) is being sent out.

Have you tried pushing the NOVO button? Does anything at all happen?

Have you tried disconnecting the CMOS battery and starting the laptop with that disconnected? Even if it won't hold settings, any signs of life would be an improvement.

Good luck with your difficult situation.
