No power, adapter not lighting up

Sister gave me her 2013 macbook pro because she couldnt turn it on. Magsafe adapter is not lighting up at all when plugged in. Tried 3 different OEM magsafe chargers and none light up on her macbook. Chargers work because my wifes laptop uses them and is working fine. I tried SMC reset and unplugging the battery cable to power directly from the charger but it still doesnt do anything or show a light. Does this sound like the DC-in board?

You would need to do some additional troubleshooting to know for certain, but it is possible that this is due to a failed DC-in board, although there's also a chance it could be due to a fault on the main logic board. If you can afford it, it might be worth ordering a replacement MagSafe board for testing. If that doesn't fix the issue, it's probably due to a fault on the main board and would require more advanced diagnostics to resolve.

What further troubleshooting can I do to know for certain? Also the only DC-In I see listed on ifixit for this macbook is used for $14.99, that is definitely something I can try, as long as the used parts are good

You could use a voltmeter to get the voltage read out from the pins on the MagSafe board when the charger is connected. This could help you confirm that the MagSafe board is working properly. With a 60W charger the read out should be around 16.5 V. You could also try to power on the system using an SMC bypass, to tell if the problem is due to a sensor on the logic board. To do an SMC bypass, disconnect the charger, hold the power button for about 10 seconds, connect the charger while holding the power button, then release the power button once the charger connects. If successful, the fans should spin up. Further troubleshooting would require testing with a replacement battery or testing components on the main logic board.
