iPhone 11 does not charge. 0 Amps. Charging ic, or special charger?

i just changed the charging port/flex of an iphone 11. the phone was sealed. i dont have an original charger and have only an old cable. the cable is propably from the first iphone model which used this charging port.

so my questions are:

do i need a better cable or a special charger which can deliver at least x amps, so the iphone starts charging??

or is the charging ic, or the new charging flex cable faulty?

does the ic or the port goes bad more often on an iphone 11?

if the ic is bad, can you often messure a short etc?

best regards

You need to use certified accessories with apple products, otherwise it can damage a component called TriStar or Hydra depending on the device. This circuit chip is responsible for verifying that whatever you connect to the lightning port was certified by apple. Certified accessories will have surge protection built into them to ensure the device receives or sends a steady flow of current. Non-certified accessories will trick the chip to get the accessory to work and often times lack the proper surge protection. If and when there's a surge or short circuit it'll damage TriStar/Hydra leading to all kinds of issues, the most common one that I see in my repair shop is when the device dies and you have that dead battery icon on the screen, no matter how long you leave it to charge, the device will not charge. This is an issue that can get misdiagnosed because most people will think it's a bad charge port or even a bad battery. They'll replace those parts and the device will start working again, until it dies. But there are others as indicated by this article. https://ifixelectronics.com.au/tristar-e...

There are many reasons as to why a device won't charge or power on and there's a few things you can try. First is connect it to a computer with iTunes. The device may have gone into DFU mode for some unknown reason. If it's detected, perform a restore. Be aware that your data will be lost unless you backed up to the computer or iCloud prior to this problem occurring. It may spit out an error code in the restore process. If it does, try again. If you get the same code again, let us know.
