Ps3 is stuck in an update loop
my father jailbroke my ps3 slim a few months ago, now whenever i boot it up it says updating, then shuts off at around 76% completed, what can i do to fix it?
can i wipe the hard drive? please help

I would suggest just completely resetting the PS3's Hard Drive. If that's not possible with your software situation, I'd suggest just replacing the hard drive. You'll lose your files, but at the end of the day you'll still have a PlayStation.

Your jailbreak homebrew should have a settings area. If you can access it, it may have an option to reset the hard drive.
i cant get to the ps3 menu, whenever it is turned on it just is in an update loop, is there a way i can reset it with a computer?
You could also try resetting it from safe mode
