How to replace the LCD screen without replacing the whole lid?

Hello to you all! I am trying to replace the display panel of my ThinkPad, since the 2.8K OLED display looks very itchy and saturated. I am replacing it with an unofficial one I found on Ebay. The problem is that it seems like the panel is glued to the lid, and I do not want to pull it too strongly because I fear I might damage it.

Do you know how I can do?

Thanks a lot!

if the panel is glued, you can use hairdryer, apply enough heat to the front surface so the glue can melt. use isopropyl alcohol 99% to separate the lid and the lcd, but this act is very risky since those components is very fragile.

Thank you so much, your help is invaluable! How can I then glue back the new screen? Also: the screen I am removing is working, it's just that it looks like crap. Would the heat of the hairdryer damage it? Do you suggest pointing the hairdryer to the back of the lid or in front of the display?

@xplosionmind you can use loca glue and UV light to harden it, and for the heat, you can apply it from the front surface of the screen. it's possible to not damaging the lcd, but from my experience, I've never seen someone have the ability to do so without damaging the lcd, except if they have touchscreen separator tools.

since doing this is really exhausting and time consuming, if possible i suggest you buy the new lcd that also comes with the touchscreen digitizer, it will cost little bit more but will make your life easier.
