My Dyson V6 HEPA does not charge nor turn on anymore?

I opened it as per the manual instructions, cleaned it, and then realized it would no longer charge, even when connected to power. Thus it seems like maybe the battery may be dead? How can I troubleshoot this, to find out what's wrong with it?
