Only screen works after SSD upgrade, not the controller
I upgraded the steam deck and as soon ad I got to the re imaging process the buttons stopped working completely
Just the screen works
what should I do?

Make sure you're steamdeck is connected to the internet so that it can download and install the latest updates. A stable connection is recommended to ensure it doesn't hang or freeze. If it looks like it's taking hours to install, try doing a reboot of the Deck via the touch screen. I was did all that and got it working.
In fact, Step 4 of the instructions I'll link below seems to indicate this is a common issue.
