No signal on monitor after few changes into the bios

Hello, today I enabled safe boot from the bios and switched to uefi because I want to update to windows 11. After I saved the changes my pc doesn’t display on the monitor anymore . I can’t even access to the bios. It is running though because all the lights and the fans are on. Please maybe you can help me ? Do I need to buy a new motherboard? I just enabled safe boot…

On YouTube i have found a guy who had my same issue updating win11. In the comment's section i have found that the problem is related to have set Secure boot to 'Custom' instead of 'Standard'.

In the video the suggestion is to remove the gpu after have reset the mobo and boot the pc without gpu. Unfortunatley my monitor doesnt reveal any signal from the pc even if i connected an hdmi cable directly to the motherboard.

Hi @jubalia96

There are two options that you can use to reset the BIOS back to factory default settings.

a) Use the JBAT1 Clear CMOS jumper on the motherboard - see p.36 of the user manual

b) Disconnect the power to the PC and then remove the coin cell battery from the motherboard, press and hold the PC power on button for a full 30 seconds and then release it, reinsert the coin cell battery, reconnect the power to the PC and turn on the PC.

Thank you for the reply! I alredy tried to remove the coin cell battery from the MOBO but without press the power button for 30 sec, I just waited 5 min before plug it again and restart. Unfortunately without any changing. I’ll try again to do it and I’ll look better for the jbat 1 you suggested me .

Its location is circled in red on the motherboard drawing on p.36 of the user manual

Pressing the power button is quicker and more effective as it forces the power to drain from the motherboard. Letting it just sit there without the battery inserted, it may take longer than you think ;-)

Turn off the PC if on, disconnect the power and then disconnect the C: drive SSD/HDD? (or even just the power to the C: drive SSD/HDD?) reconnect the power to the PC turn it on and check if you can get into BIOS with a display

Windows is installed on ssd . Unfortunately even if i tried to remove power from it and plug it again still nothing appears on the monitor.
