iMac (MXWT2) 3.1 GHz i5 cpu upgrade to i9

Hi. Im planning on buying baseline 2020 iMac 27 (MXWT2) with 3.1 GHz i5 cpu, but I was unable to find wether Ill be able to upgrade its cpu (does it's motherboard supports i7 or i9) and are nvme ssd from 2017 iMacs are compatible with 2020 models (i have an OWC Aura pro x2 1tb nvme ssd and planning on upgrading this new iMc with it).
Could anyone help me with this information?

The best you can go to is the 3.8GHz i7. The system is not able to support the i9.

Let me ask again, if I buy 2020 27' iMac with i5 10500 (3.1 GHz) i will be able to upgrade this cpu with i7 10700K, right? Apple's site does not allowing i9 upgrade for base 27 inch iMac 2020 model, so im kind of worried about this purchase, thanks in advance)

i9 is not supported, why is it so? This processor is too hot for this iMac or is it a firmware problem?

What kind of i7 is supported on this imac, i7 10700K?

And about ssd, i learned that it is not replaceable, the problem is that im currently using epgu, so the external ssd with thunderbolt 3 connection is not an option (imac's two thunderbolt-3 ports share the same bus) would it be wise to use external ssd connected to the usb-a port to store large files for works, while keeping system and applications on internal 256 gb storage? Or connecting external ssd to usb-a may cause problems?

@Николай Осколков - You need to stick with the CPU family the system uses. The i7 10700k is a10th gen chip whereas the system can only support only 4th gen as the systems firmware doesn’t offer the newer micro code. Apple doesn’t update it only the security elements. Besides it’s to hot a chip!

Review EveryMac for the possible CPU’s Apple used as these are your only options.

As far as SSD - Your system offers two internal drive ports a SATA and a custom PCIe/NVMe blade SSD. Depending on your exact system you may have one of these ports free. A Fusion Drive system uses both ports as the blade SSD is the cache drive to the SATA drive. Frankly a straight dual drive setup is the better setup. Using a 1TB blade SSD instead of the wimpy 128MB cache drive and then leave the HDD using the SATA port.

As far as the external TB3 ports not sure what you are thinking as each port uses a different set of PCIe lanes and the collective total of all of the lanes is what the PCH & CPU offer
