Turns on, but randomly resets to black screen.

It has happened only recently, but with multiple games I've played the system will randomly go to black screen like it reset itself too. It is one of those transparent cases and I can see there is damage to the second player port, just the plastic from what I can see. Any ideas on where to start looking?
