The rubber gasket around my screen is stretched out
I don't know how this occurred, but the rubber gasket came out and it's stretched. Can I trim it a little and put it back in, or replace it entirely if at all possible?

Given the age of your system I would take it to the nearest Apple Store for warranty repair. You may need to press this should be covered!
