How dissassemble Altec Lansing T612, 30 pin connector speaker?

I want to take apart the Altec Lansing T612 in order to give a thorough rinse. The housing is very sticky - which might be the material decomposing at a atomic level, as someone suggests... or it could just be sensitivity to grease, eg. from a kitchen environment, as I've had "some" luck using sulfo.

How do you take it apart?

And what are the "other 3" holes at the back for (3 of the 6 are for a wall mount, but which ones?)

And if the speakers are sticky too, does it matter - or how clean them?

Thank you.
