Mother board repair call from local shop

Hi there, i have a iphone 11 pro, it was going through some problems like first my battery connector was broken [ the connector which attaches battery to board ], i got it replaced, i was told which i brought is of copper and real(original) is of real gold. then i started to face my phone restart issues, sometimes it auto starts but sometimes i have to manually start by holding power button. and then after a day or two of the last repair of copper connector, my phone went off and is not starting again. now i received call from repair shop and they are saying my that we will have to change layer of the motherboard to make it work and charging me enough money!. is it possible to change layer of motherboard as i never heard. Should i proceed?

yes on certain models of iphones there are 2 boards soldered together 11 series being 1 of them, my question is why did the battery connector need changed, did it have a restarting issue before they worked on it. if it didnt restart until after they worked on it then they should be responsible for the repair and not be charging for it

phone was perfect, somehow it fell from my pocket which made my phone battery strip break, i give it to non-trusted shop near me and they to charge me more also damaged the connector, after which all this issue happened.

@blohsh could be damage to some of the solder pads between the boards or they may have used to much heat on the board when replacing the connector. another thing could be they replaced the battery with a bad quality 1 or a used 1 so that they could say its a board issue. i would take it to a different shop that deals in microsoldering to see what they say. as i dont know which country your in i cant give you any details of technicians close to you

@tech_ni any idea what could be the fix? the technician i trust the most sent me to him (non-trusted technician), those who ripped connector was someone else.
