CNC a hole in the lid, would it improve bluetooth connectivity?

The Mac mini has been plagued with bluetooth issues for a number of years. With many people suggesting that the thick alloy case being part of the issue.

If one was to CNC a large opening at the top of the case, and replace the removed alloy with a perspex cover. Do you think that could improve bluetooth connectivity and its related issues? Or is it just a case of poor quality control when it comes to Apple Bluetooth controllers?

Sometimes Apple makes a mistake, here on iFixit we've called them out a few times! This is not one of those cases. The design is sound, the placement of the system and/or what you have around it is your issue.

So NO! Altering the case won't help you here and all you'll do is make a nice case a pile of junk!

So let's refocus on its placement, do you have a metal desk or shelving which you have the system sitting on? Do you have metal surrounding the system in any way?
