Free agent external drive worked great yesterday now it wont even p

My free agent external drive worked great yesterday but now it wont even power up today! If i plugged in the wrong power cord could that bave ruined my drive?

What power cord did you use?

It only has a USB 2.0 port connector to power and to access the drive
