Oculus Qust 2 doesn't turn on or charge (cannot access app, mercari)

I purchased the headset on mercari, and am using the charging cable (1m) from Meta's website; I plugged it in, let it charge for about 2 hours, held the power button for 60 seconds, held the power button and volume down button for 30 seconds, and still no signs of life outside of my oculus app presenting me with an entry for a 5 digit code. What is the possible (hardware or software) solution here?
