Internal Speakers and Headphone Jack not working. Bluetooth does work.

While working on some music production, my sound suddenly stopped working. I would use bluetooth but much of my work requires a higher fidelity than bluetooth allows. Both USB and HDMI are viable options except those ports are often needed.

It seems that when using the headphone jack to do a line out to a pre-amp for my headphones it caused something to happen that has since disallowed my speakers (internal or headphone jack) to work. When trying to adjust the volume it shows a prohibitory symbol (a circle with a slash through it). When looking in System Preferences > Sound > Sound Effects and then on the drop down next to where it says "Play sound effects through:" internal speakers or headphone jack (when something is plugged in) is not an option.

I'm wondering if there is a part that can be replaced or if the audio components are part of the Logic Board. I see that it is possible to change the speakers and microphone, maybe something else. I'm lacking confidence about any of those things fixing my issue.

I have tried all of the software options (PRAM reset, etc), that I know about, some more than one time. Thanks for assistance.

Within the headphone jack is a set of switches as you can see in this mechanical model and within the systems schematic

What often happens is the contacts get misaligned or dirty. Yo do need to be careful as your jack is also optical interface! Using a TOS-link cable.

I would recommend going with the optical connection Vs the electrical connection.
