Hi @khemicals ,

Check the status of the WLAN network adapter in Device Manager.

To get to Device Manager in Win 10, press the Win Key + x key (both together) and click on the Device Manager link that appears.

Go to Device Manager - Network Adapters - click on the > symbol to the left of the category to expand the list - right click on the WLAN adapter entry - Properties - General tab - Device status and check what it states.

If there is a red cross next to the WLAN entry, right click on the entry and select Enable, restart the laptop and check if you can turn on the WiFi using the settings as described in the answer above

If there is a yellow exclamation mark next to the WLAN entry, right click on the entry and select Update driver and follow the prompts. You need to be online (Ethernet cable connection) to be able to update. if you have no internet connection via Ethernet cable to the laptop you need to use another PC to download the drivers and then transfer them to your PC and manually install them.

If there is no WLAN entry listed under Network Adapters, maybe check in BIOS to see if it has been disabled there. Not sure with your model as the user manual doesn't show BIOS settings whether it is there or not. You can only check.

To get into BIOS turn on the laptop and press the F2 key quickly a few times when the logo is on the screen, before it boots into Windows. If it starts to boot into Windows you missed and need to try again. Allow it to boot all the way and then close Windows in the normal manner and start again.

If you can't locate the WLAN adapter in Device Manager and it has no settings option in BIOS i.e. WLAN enable/disable option, then its looking like a hardware problem i.e. the WLAN adapter has failed

Note:

Please keep all your future questions/comments etc regarding this problem, associated with the same question. That way people can see what you've tried and also what has been suggested to try by people who answered you. Do not ask a new question every time and please respond to people who do answer you. They are trying to help and if you don't respond in the question you asked - click on Comment in their answer or Comment under your question, then they and others don't know whether it worked or if you need more help.

I have merged your 2nd question with your 1st question about the problem as it is a follow up question, given the answer to your 1st question did not help, although it did move the process forward as to find out what's happening - Moderator.
