Can't unscrew the Penelope screw (at the bottom of the iPhone)
Hey, so I had my iPhone screen repaired by some 3rd party 2 years ago, and I found out my NFC Reader works fine but my NFC Writer doesn’t work 100% of the time.
So I decided to order a Penelope screwdrive to open up my phone and see if there is any loose cables.
The iPhone is already missing 1 screw (from repair store) and when I try to unscrew the other one, it just turns in both directions infinitely with no stop.
I can’t open my iPhone up. I’ve used a hairdryer to loosen any adhesive but that hasn’t worked.
One of my friends said this:
It could be because you’ve been turning a hard metal screw against soft plastic it would of damaged the plastic threads that when you turn anti-clockwise will lift the screw out and when you turn clockwise will drive the screw down/in
But I’m not sure.
Can someone help?
