Blinker randomly comes on .

Hi,

Is it the left front or the left rear or both?

Sorry to be so pedantic but looking at the wiring for the indicator lights for a 2006 F150, the power for the lights comes through the multi-function switch which you have replaced.

After this it is two separate circuits, one feeding the front lights and the other the rear.

I was hoping that it was one or the other as this would indicate that the power supply wire for the front or rear lamp was intermittently shorting out to another wire somewhere. Being intermittent this would make it hard to find out where, but you have to start somewhere.

Here’s an image of the wiring diagram where I have highlighted where the power comes into the switch and the two circuits, front and rear, leaving the switch.

Just wondering if it is only the rear lamp turning on, whether it is the turn signal indicator or perhaps it is the brake or tail light that is coming on as they all share the same bulb i.e. two filaments in the one bulb. Unless of course you also get a turn signal indication in the instrument panel. Just a thought.
