I have a 2017 MacBook air (A1466) with a dead battery, and an older model (A1369). When I Google the battery replacement for each model they seem to be compatible with each other. Can I just use my old battery in the new one?

Be careful where you buy your battery there are quite a lot of fly-by-night outfits which don’t offer even basic warranty coverage if you get a bad battery and some or re-jiggered cells from a bunch of used batteries. So watch out!
