Can I upgrade to Bluetooth 4.0?
I recently saw the upgrade of MacBook Pro 2010 to Bluetooth 4.0 using the 2012 version of airport card. Will it be possible on my MacBook?
This is the bracket I saw. Will it be compatible with BCM94331PCIEBT4CAX?

Sometimes things look like they could be swapped out but just can’t!
So let’s take a deep dive into the two systems AirPort boards. If we look at the two we see quite a few physical differences:
MacBook AirPort
MacBook Pro AirPort
There are four antenna connections the location of the data cable is different as well as the mounting points and what is not seen is the dimensions of the board is different.
Is the effort of trying to make this work worth it?
We still don’t know if the pinouts of the cable are compatible and if the OS will recognize it.
