Can't sign out, account is greyed out, can't reset

Hello, My iphone se (2020) worked fine until today. Now I can’t sign out (button is greyed out) of my account, can’t change anything related to my account. When I try to reset and erase this iphone, a password is requested. I enter my password then I get can’t connect to the server please retry. If I retry it says incorrect id or password. My id and password are both correct. I can use the phone to make calls, read email, go on the internet and use the apps. I followed some of the answers I found online, like resetting the network settings, turning off screen time, etc… but under the Apple ID in setting, the name, phone email is still greyed out, as well as payment & shipping.

No, I just want to be able to access my account, and change my subscriptions. I already tried to reset and erase, but it can't connect to the server, while my other iphone work just fine. I can erase network settings.

hello Thierry,

it looks like a problem signing an account to an existing phone. Log in to your account via the web server (icloud.com) and log out of the phone from your icloud account. The next step will be to reinstall IOS from the service level - detailed instructions can be found online: hold the power button and vol.down button, insert the lighting cable connected to the computer. Service mode itself will ask for permission to replace the software. Restore the phone. Do not use a back-up copy. You will complete the data from the copy only after the installation of fresh IOS is complete. There is a possibility that the physical damage will be located in the vicinity of the processor and the so-called "secure element". In this case, you will be forced to use a good repair shop - you may not be able to handle it yourself.

Hi Tojaert, Thank you for your reply. I can't log out of icloud on my phone, at least I can't find the log out on the settings/icloud. The icloud window on my phone shows "unable to load storage info".

Under my name in Settings the name, phone numbers, email is greyed out and so is payments & shipping. If I click on subscriptions the window shows Cannot Connect with a retry button under. If I click on Password & Security message shows up saying Account Details Unavailable. Under trusted devices, it says Trusted devices list not available. And finally the Sign Out button is greyed out.

All this seems to happen after an OS update.

I can't reset the phone, only the network settings.

If you have any other suggestions, thank you in advance.

icloud account information is greyed out because the server cannot verify your identity. Somewhere a lock went off. Go to www.icloud.com on a PC or Mac or whatever you use there, use your icloud login and password (this is the same account - access via other side) - you will be able to check if all your data has been stored in icloud and are safe . On the phone, go to settings - >> icloud account and scroll the screen to the bottom - >> to the end of the page. The last item is icloud and MFI logout. Otherwise, if you reset your phone without logging out, when installing a new user, you will need to enter your old icloud account - to unlock the device for further use.
