Broke Touch ID, how to disable it functionally?
I dropped a new iPad Air 4. I broke Touch ID, I don't need it, but the power button began to warm up excessively, turned off Touch ID completely, but still the button warms up. I note that the power button warms up only if you turn off the screen, that is, lock the screen, if the screen is on, it does not warm up, and as soon as I turn off the screen, it starts, and the battery also eats! Is it possible to completely functionally disable Touch ID, or is it possible to physically disable it, but to make the power button work?
Hi! I’m having exactly the same issue, have any of you worked it out ? I really don’t want to pay 450 bucks at my Apple Store :/

I'm having the same problem, did you find a solution? My battery is draining so fast because of my cracked touch id button :(

I haven't solved the problem in any way, but I'm thinking of opening it and physically disconnecting it from the board, I don't know if it will help or not
