How to properly choose a replacement screen for my laptop?

I want to replace the screen of my laptop from the screen that I currently have. The screen on my laptop now is a TN panel with a resolution of 1366x768 I want to change it to a 1920x1080 IPS screen.

I do a lot of Photoshop, Lightroom and mostly color sensitive work in my laptop. So, therefore, the change. A TN panel is frustrating for it is not displaying accurate colors.

I saw this screen replacement in an online store near us.

I am a bit hesitant to buy it because I am not sure if it fits, if it is compatible with my machine, or if it is a true FHD IPS panel.

I have browsed the PSREF site of Lenovo and I was checking the part number of the screen if it is there. Sadly, it is not.

Is there any chance that it would still fit? Should I find another seller? Or an external monitor is my only chance of getting a good screen?

Thank you so much in advance for answering.

Hi @dwn ,
Here’s a link showing all the parts compatible with your model series laptop.

Click on Select Commodity > LCD panels to find the LCD panel part numbers.

I’m not sure how to tell the difference between a TN and an IPS screen based on the part title or part number, but the 1920 x 1080 screens all have FHD in the part title. Also not sure if the “T” in the part title indicates that it is a touchscreen as well.

Try searching online using the part number only to find suppliers that suit you and then contact them and ask regarding the panel type etc.

Hopefully this is of some help.
