Why charging MOSFET overheating?
Why do charging MOSFET do overheating when there is a short circuit on PP_VCC_MAIN?
Because it’s the “thinnest wire” on that line. So even though it’s not the component that is shorting the line, that mosfet is still on VCC main and it’s a very “thin” wire. A lot of current going through a very small wire is liable to generate heat. It’s the same in a failed capacitor, because a failed cap is also generally a very ‘thin” wire where a lot of current is rushing through to ground.
