Ran out of oil , oil quage dropped and engine died
How can I bypass theft system with out chipped key ? Is that why engine won't turn on

Hi,
If the engine ran out of oil (did you check the oil dipstick level to make sure?) and the engine died then most probably the engine has seized and would need to be repaired to make it run again.
Solving the key problem won’t make the engine turn over.

@Brandy Johnson what will what? Make the engine turn over? Are you sure you ran it dry? Nothing on the dipstick? If so, then there's an excellent chance the motor has seized. If you or someone you know has a little know-how, try using a socket and breaker bar to see if you can turn the engine. Let's start there. I believe (correct me if im wrong) that you can do this by putting them on the bolt for the harmonic balancer (think that's the one I'm thinking of. Is center of motor, towards the bottom. Is connected to the crankshaft) and slowly turning it. If it moves, then your engine isn't seized. If it doesn't, then its pretty much guaranteed seized and you're going to need a professional to repair this as this is something quite beyond the expertise and tooling of the average DIY mechanic. Did it make any odd sounds while dying?
