freezer is warm but fridge stays cold?

Without the model number can only guess that your model may have two evaporator units, one in the refrigerator compartment and one in the freezer compartment to cool each compartment separately rather than having just the one in the freezer compartment which sends the cold air to the refrigerator compartment so usually it is warm refrigerator and normal freezer, not the other way around if there is a cooling problem.

Remove the panel on the inside at the back of the freezer compartment (access through the front) and check if the evaporator unit is icy cold or perhaps iced up.

If it isn't cold then there may be a problem with the valve that regulates the refrigerant flow in the sealed system from the compressor between the two evaporator units. This is controlled by the control board so the problem may be to do with it. (faulty sensor in freezer telling control that freezer is cold enough so stop cooling it further by closing valve perhaps)

If the freezer evap unit is iced over and the evap fan is iced over and not operating then there is a defrost problem. Faulty defrost heater located beneath the evap unit, blocked drain from under the evap unit to the evap pan beneath the compartments, faulty defrost sensor, faulty control board.

If the evap unit is cold but the fan is not operating then it may be a faulty fan or fan power supply from the control board.

If you search online for "LG (insert model number) service manual" sometimes you can be lucky and there is one available online. This will help as it will show how to get into the diagnostic mode for the refrigerator so that all the various functions can be tested making it easier to know what the problem is. Also there are usually wiring diagrams as well.
