Which adapter require to use US A type plug in Hongkong

Hopefully you have not already plugged the blender directly into the Hong Kong power supply with just a plug adapter, as the blender may now be damaged by the higher voltage provided by the local supply. If so, the blender will need to be opened and the damage assessed and repaired. Perhaps it may just be a burnt out MOV surge suppressor and a blown fuse and nothing more.

Plug adapters DO NOT convert the voltage. They should only be used where the power supply voltage is exactly the same as in the location where the device was being used before and the only difference is the type of plug required to fit into the power outlet socket.

If the blender was made for the USA market it means that it was designed to operate at 120V AC 60Hz.

The Hong Kong power supply voltage is 220V AC 50Hz.

For it to work properly in Hong Kong, you need to buy a step down converter transformer (supplier example only) and connect it to the power outlet and then connect it via a plug adapter (supplier example only) to the blender. i.e. HK power outlet > converter 220V in > converter 120V out > plug adapter > blender

The converter reduces the HK supply voltage from 220V AC to 120V AC and it also can supply enough current for the 1200W motor in the blender. I have linked a local HK supplier to show what the cost may be and what it looks like. There are other suppliers that may suit you better. Also I selected a unit capable of supplying a 1500W load, as one that can supply only a 1200W load i.e. the blender, may be too close for comfort. The blender will only use what it needs to operate, which is less than what the converter is capable of supplying, leaving a safety margin so that the converter is not operating at its maximum output all the time.

Be aware that it still may not work even with the converter. Some appliances do not work properly if they are designed for a 60Hz supply and are only getting a 50Hz supply from the converter because that is what is being supplied to it by the Hong Kong power supply. If it doesn’t then you need to find a combined stepdown transformer and frequency converter that will convert the 220V AC 50Hz to 120V AC 60Hz. These can cost 3 times more than the one I linked above. It may be cheaper to buy a new blender, locally.
