I’m trying to replace the charge port on a HP Chromebook 14 SMB 2955U, and the replacement that I ordered in is incorrect. The cable length is too short and wont fit in the chromebook. I’m having a hard time finding the right replacement.

According to this Chromebook 14 SMB parts list, the HP part number for the DC-In Power connector cable for all of the 2955U product number variants shown is 740148-001.
It appears as though your model may be similar to a Chromebook 14 G1 as all the product numbers listed under that category in the parts list above use the same DC-In cable as well. Here’s the Chromebook 14 G1 maintenance and service guide, taken from this webpage that may help for any future parts, repairs etc. (see p.10-14 for parts list)
Search online using the part number only to find suppliers that suit you best.

Hi @slingham ,
What is the product number (or model number) of the laptop as printed on the information label on the bottom? 2955U is the CPU type and model number.
