Brand new battery showing reduced design capacity
I recently replaced my Macbook’s battery with the iFixit replacement kit. All appeared to be fine at first, but then I noticed the “Service Recommended” notification reappear and CoconutBattery is now showing my brand new battery has suddenly dropped to 51.5% of it’s design capacity.
I’ve tried resetting the System Controller and re-calibrating the battery a couple of times to no avail. Can anyone shine some light on what is happening here?
