Desktop monitors, tried 3, wont turn on after computer froze.

Weird sound then short electrical hum. Screen froze. Manual computer restart. Can hear it but monitor is black. Monitor check on another computer. Monitor is fine. Checked cables. Blew out dust. Tried different graphics card and nothing. Monitors - tried 3- still wont come on. Which hardware part could have blown?

2 things come immediately to mind. Does your PC go through the entire boot process? By that, I mean, your fans turn, lights flash and the pc runs the BIOS that checks all the hardware(pc, memory, floppy, HD,CD/DVD and video. If your video is misconfigured in your BIOS, it could cause this problem.

Can you get into your BIOS to check this problem?

Change psu, reset bios see if it works, check for visual damage on MB, use new 3v coin battery. Try leting system sit for a while with no 3v bat & -/+ shorted with a cable. See if with no ram or CPU the system beeps. If all fails could be a short/chip or vrm from MB.
