starts, then powers off. If I hold the space bar down it works perfect

Hi I have an Asus laptop that starts, then powers off. If I hold the space bar down it works perfectly. I take my finger of the space bar and it turns off again. Any help, thanks. Lee

did this laptop take any water or other liquid ?

remove the keyboard and try an USB keyboard
