Blade ssd maximum size?

I want to replace my blade ssd with a 2TB version. I’m wondering if that will work. I already have the Sintech adapter.

I know, I know!! Apple SSD’s and the OWC drives are expensive! So you want to find a cheaper option. These M.2 SSD & adapters are just not up to the task!

If your cars fan belt snaps taking a piece of rope to replace it might seem workable and it might appear to work, would you travel across a desert with the car in this state? Or would you first find a repair shop to put in the correct part? I hope you get to the repair shop!

So what does this have to do with using an M.2 SSDF in an adapter?? Same issue! Its not able to work reliably. The harder you use your system the sooner it will fail.

Getting to the blade SSD port is hard enough doing it once do you really want to do it again and don’t forget the loss of all of your stuff!

Please! Get the correct SSD for your system! I’ve taken out so many of these its not worth it.

Here’s a good writeup on the Apple SSD’s The Ultimate Guide to Apple’s Proprietary SSDs and here’s a 3rd party SSD that will work reliably OWC Aura Pro X2
