What kind of metal is the back case, URGANT

so i just want to know this so that i can engrave it without breaking it, i’m pretty sure it’s stainless steel or aluminum, but i’m not sure which

just to let you know, its a ipod video (5th gen)

Hi @feyrowan ,

It is stainless steel. There were U2 editions of the 4th and 5th gen iPods which had engraved signatures from the band, which was done with laser etching, so it is possible to engrave it.
