Hi,

Have you checked that the HD620 graphics adapter (GPU) drivers are up to date, you didn’t say?

To check go to Device Manager > Display Adapters > right click on the HD620 adapter entry > Update drivers. You need to be online for it to update if there are any updated drivers available.

If there are none then try installing the latest Intel drivers and check if they will work with the Adobe programs. If no good or it causes problems you can always roll back the drivers to the previous version in Device Manager > Display Adapters > right click on the HD620 adapter entry > Properties > Drivers.

Of interest is that Adobe also points to using the GPU manufacturer’s driver download website when following this link

According to the user manual the laptop has two GPUs. An integrated GPU with the CPU i.e. the Intel HD620 and a separate Nvidia GPU. Do the Adobe programs work OK when selecting the Nvidia GPU as the primary display adapter, you didn’t say?

Thanks for your research. I do not know how to establish the Nvidia GPU as the primary display to see if that may solve my problem. However that device is up to date. Adobe Illustrator was identifying both GPUs as needing updating. Response on updating the HD620 is that it is also up to date as well. But not according to Illustrator. I hate to buy a new computer, however...

Here's a link that shows how to select which GPU you want to use.

When you say that the HD620 is up to date do you mean as per the Intel website i.e. Ver. 27.20.100.9168?

Looking at this link from Adobe it seems that the HD620 is not supported by Illustrator2020. Although given the Intel HD6000 series is older than the HD620 you would think that it should.

You may have to check what Nvidia GPU model you have to see if it is on the list also.

If not then you may have to either go back to an earlier version of Illustrator that worked OK or replace the computer.

Maybe you should contact Adobe about this. Never hurts to let them know anyway
