Repair information and guides for the 2015 Retina MacBook Air. Model A1534

Why my MacBook 12'' A1534 not powering on

My macbook was working fine, then all of a sudden I got some disturbance on the screen, like when we have a bad RAM.

In panic, I forced it power off by pressing power button. Now am trying to start/boot it and nothing happens. No chime, nothing on display absolutely nothing.

Tried connecting external monitor using a dongle with HDMI, still nothing.

Also, if I leave it on (power button one time pressed) laptop gets heated up from below. Also light in one of my dongle (with HDMI connection) turns on and off when power button is long pressed.

Apple is asking INR 65K for logic board replacement. Already got it done twice (once in warranty). Cannot go again.

Sadly the Retina MacBook's logic boards overheat and die.

Remember this was an experiment on how tight they could pack a logic board, Even today it's the most densely packed Intel Core M system.

Sorry there is nothing you can do to fix this other than replace it once again ;-{

This does sound like a logic board issue. However as a first step you can try to remove the bottom cover and check if all the cables are still connected properly. If everything looks okay I would recommend to take the board to a repair shop that can also do microsoldering, since there might be some issues on the board (e.g. blown capacitor).
