Why is my jeep starting but shuttering when I press the gas and die

i have a 1993 jeep cherokee . when i start my jeep the engine runs. theres a little trouble starting but it does start eventually. as soon as i rev the jeep it shutters and then loses power. ive changed the fuel filter and the starter and alternator and tested the fuel pump and it works. why is my jeep stalling when i give it gas?
