Won't turn on or charge after impact?

XR got tossed around a bit and after a high-impact incident with the ground, no longer powers on or charges. I'd like to open it up and take a peek but wouldn't know what to look for. Any experience or suggestions?

You will need to make sure all the connectors are seated properly first. Than start ruling out parts like the battery and screen. After replacing the battery and or screen see if iTunes recognises it.
