It is not getting switched on nor getting charged. What is the problem

Pixel 3 XL is not getting switched on nor getting charged. But before it died it was fully charged and all of a sudden it died. No response to boot loader option or any other triage. When I am putting on charger I sense some heat at the back ?? Is it the battery problem ??
