Soft rubber buttons on front disintegrating TM31

Was going to cover these disintegrating buttons but need suggestion for the best option of a product if anyone can help please. Thought there may be something better than black duct tape. Cant take it to thermomix as they only do postal service now and not risking posting the expensive machine. Could be a nightmare if damaged in transit.
