How do I clean my keyboard after a spill?

I need to detach the backspace key in order to clean it after I spilled some redbull on the laptop. Now the key is mushy and needs a harder press

Did you get the rubber mat seated correctly? I had the same prob, had to take it apart again and reseat the mat
