My controller won't connect to the PS3

My PS3 Dualshock3 Controller doesn't connect to my PS3 the same way it used to. Whenever I click the PS button to connect it it just doesn't, but when I plug it in directly with my cable it only lights up Player 3 and 4 continuously, no blinking. I tried resetting it and all but it won't do jack $@$*. Can I have some help?
